Astan Quds Razavi Central Museum

The purpose of creating this cultural place was showing rare and valuable treasures that were given to Imam Reza. Today, the museum has 11 different parts, after rebuilding it in 1999. The museum has many visitors due to the variety of treasures.  The building has been constructed in 4 stories. Different coins, stamps, dishes, medals, aquatic creatures, and etc. are shown in this museum.

Carpet museum

The carpet museum was opened in 2007.  It is a 4_story building with exhibition spaces and workshop space. Different kinds of valuable carpets and rugs are in this museum from all over the Iran. These carpets are from the past to now. This museum is known as one of the greatest museum in the world.

Quran and valuables museum

This museum is consisted of 3 parts:  treasures of Quran, the presents of the leader of Iran, and the Farshchian hall (Farshchiyan is one of the greatest painters of Iran). In the building of treasures of Quran, there are many valuable Qurans that were written by Imams.  In the ground floor, there are presents of the leader of Iran that was given to him by foreign and non foreign figures. In the Farshchian hall, there are 17 precious paintings of him that he has granted them to this museum.

Anthropology museum of Mashhad (Mahdi Qolibeilk bathroom)

This museum has been constructed in Mahdi Qolibeik historical bathroom and it is near the Amir Qiyas al din Molkshah’s tomb. Based on documents, this bathroom was built in 1648 by Mahdi Qolibeik and was donated to Astan Quds Razavi. After rebuilding it in 2006, this place has been changed to anthropology museum.  In this museum, different kinds of charcoal samovars, different dishes, photos of old Mashhad, and etc. are shown.
