Pilgrims or Tourists Guide (all services provided are free of charge) 2022

In order provide on itinerary of your tour, the following step guideline is prepared to assist you through your visit.

First Step: Meeting your tour leader

Be patient while your tour guide is on his way to you. Take your time and go over this quick step by step guideline to find a better understanding of the sites and places you may visit on your tour.

Secend Step: security Check

There is a security policy at the holy shrine for all those who wish to enter the complex. This policy requires every person to go through a pad down procedure and some items are prohibited for safety and security purposes such as camera, packaged food, luggage, electronic devices, firearms, tools, food & drink and etc. You can turn in your personal items at our depository boxes located outside of the gates.

Third Step: Around the Kingdom of Hearts

This journey includes visiting various courtyards and porticos and perhaps some of the religious ceremonies depending on time and place. You can experience a great mixture of spirituality and exceptional works of art as you are going through the journey. Feel free to ask questions if you find anything a bit different.

Fourth Step: Toward the Dar al-Rahmeh Hall (It is suggested that pilgrims for using the shrine services like Banquet Hall (restaurant), cultural programs and etc. go to Dar al- Rahmeh portico in Jomhoori Islami courtyard)

Once you pass the security screening, you will head toward the Dar al-Rahmeh Hall (Hall of mercy) which is the English (other languages: Turkish, Arabic, Urdu) office of the complex.

Fifth Step: At the Dar al-Rahmeh

Once you inter the hall, you can check in your shoes. Please don’t forget your token number. You can see some of the artistic mirror works, mosaics and wall paintings at this hall.

  • Introduction video of the Shrine
  • English speech and welcome note by a religious expert
  • Religious counseling and Q&A (upon request)
  • Recitation of the Quran with English translation (upon request)
  • Religious ceremonies and lectures (upon request)
  • English classes and workshops (upon request)
  • Books, handouts, brochures, gifts, souvenirs, pictures and posters along with free anacks (when applicable)
  • Tour of museums (Quran, central & Carpet museums)
  • Tour of the Holy Shrine

Sixth Step: Toward the Museums

  • Quran museum: open from 8am-12pm.
  • Central museum: open from 8am-5pm.
  • Carpet museum: open from 8am-12pm.

Seventh Step: Farewell

Blessed Food of Imam Reza Holy Shrine

For receiving the ticket of Banquet Hall (Restaurant) of Holy Shrine Currently you can go through below address (It maybe changed in future):

Go to Rezvan office in Ghadir courtyard (at 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., or at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.)  . Show your passport and other documents, receive the ticket.

Time, date, and location of the restaurant are written on your ticket.

There are two Banquet Hall in Holy Shrine:

  • Hor e Ameli Banquet Hall in Navab Sanctuary (mostly for foreign Pilgrims)
  • Ghadeer Banquet Hall in Ghadeer courtyard.
